The Full Breakdown
The Polynesian Fire Luau is a family-run dinner show presented by a Samoan family from American Samoa. Its Orlando-area show now runs in Kissimmee, in a fully indoor, air-conditioned room with a waterfall and tropical decor. That matters more than it sounds: an outdoor luau in Florida means heat, bugs and thunderstorm cancellations, and this one avoids all three.
Doors open by 6 pm and close at 6:30 pm, and the evening wraps up around 8 pm, so the whole thing takes about two hours. Dancers greet each guest with a lei on arrival. Seats are assigned in advance, so there’s no rush for tables.
Dinner comes first, with a live Polynesian band playing while you eat. Then the show moves across the islands: dances and music from Hawaii, Tahiti, Tonga, New Zealand and Samoa, with hula, warrior chants and live drumming. The finale is the part people remember, a Samoan fire-knife and fire poi display. The company says its fire-knife dancers are world champions.
Dinner is an all-you-can-eat buffet. The Orlando menu lists Polynesian chicken, kalua pork, baked salmon, beef meatballs, vegetarian lo mein and fried rice, with macaroni salad, krab salad, fresh fruit, steamed vegetables, tossed salad, dinner rolls and assorted desserts. The menu can change.
Reviews on the food are mixed but mostly positive. Some guests rave about the pulled pork and meatballs, while a few call the buffet average and say to go for the show. Expect solid, home-style party food, not a fine-dining meal. Vegetarians have the lo mein, fried rice and salads; ask the venue in advance about other dietary needs.
The Polynesian Fire Luau with dinner and live show includes water, tea and lemonade. Alcohol and premium soft drinks are sold at the cash bar, which serves Mai Tais and coconut rum among other drinks. Budget for a round or two if the adults want cocktails.
The official site lists tickets from about $69.99 per adult and $29.99 per child aged 3 to 12 (as of 2026), with premium seating at about $10 more. Children 2 and under go free with a paying adult. Prices vary by date.
The GetYourGuide ticket bundles the lei greeting, buffet, soft drinks, show and parking, and you can cancel for free up to 24 hours before. That flexibility is useful in Orlando, where plans shift around park days and weather. Photos, souvenirs, alcohol and tips are extra. See our breakdown of the luau ticket for the full inclusions.
For most families, yes. It works equally well for grandparents, parents and kids: the show is colorful without being scary, the fire finale gets everyone’s attention, and dinner is included. The fixed end time around 8 pm suits young children.
A few caveats. The microphone can be hard to understand at times, the food won’t wow a foodie, and the setting is an indoor banquet room. If you want a more romantic or adults-only night, look at the Speakeasy murder mystery on our dinner shows page instead.
The luau is at 4740 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, on the US-192 corridor. Parking near the venue is free and included in the GetYourGuide ticket. From International Drive, allow extra time for evening traffic.
Aim to arrive shortly after 6 pm. Doors close at 6:30 pm, and arriving early gives you time for the lei greeting and the buffet before the show starts.
Flowery aloha clothing is welcome but not required. The venue is listed as wheelchair accessible. Because the room is indoors and air-conditioned, it’s a good plan for a rainy or very hot evening, too.
The luau’s location makes it easy to build a Kissimmee day around it. Gatorland closes at 5 pm and sits about 15 to 20 minutes from the Disney area, so a morning or early afternoon with the alligators leaves plenty of time to freshen up before doors open. On Friday and Saturday nights, the free classic car cruise at Old Town Kissimmee, further along the same highway, starts at 8:30 pm, just after the show ends. It’s a relaxed way to stretch the evening if the kids still have energy.
If the luau is booked on your night, the other shows on our best Orlando dinner shows page are the next stop. "The food was beyond expectations. The show was great. At times was difficult to understand speaker due to raspy microphones."
"This was FANTASTIC! My family went at the end of August 2026. The room atmosphere & stage design is wonderful & gets you into the tropical mindset. ALL of the food was delicious, especially the meatballs & pulled pork (don't forget the BBQ sauce!) We're picky & went back 3 times. The show itself was the best part. We honeymooned in Hawaii, island hopped & went to several Luaus. The Polynesian Fire Show in Florida was as good as all the ones we saw there. Loved the way they involved the audience with singing, dancing, drum playing. Show had comical parts, beautiful singing & music, fabulous dancing and the fire performance was unbelievable! Took pictures with the performers on stage after the show. The entire staff was great, friendly, attentive. Can't say enough about this place. We had an full activity packed, two-week vacation & this was one of the BEST things we did. We'd highly recommend this to visitors & Fl. residences & wear some fun tropical clothing. We'll definitely be back."
"Wow! It’s amazing time! Wonderful show! Thanks for a lot of positive energy and emotion! For sure, I’ll coming back next time"

"The show was great. My friends and I loved it. The buffet was average at best. One or two items were very good. Go for the show"
"This is a genuine American dinner show theatre experience. It’s family run and has lots of heart and home cooked food. The music, entertainment and dancers were fabulous."
"I enjoyed the whole experience and the interaction group being part of the show special. With the side jokes. I will recommend others that I know that are visiting the area."

"The performance was the best! No improvements needed."

"The activity was outstanding. The performance was phenomenal and the food was delicious. Greatest experience we had since we lived in Kissimmee, Florida."

About two hours. Doors open by 6 pm and close at 6:30 pm, and the show ends around 8 pm. Dinner and the live band come first, followed by the dance show and the fire-knife finale. The early finish makes it a good fit for families with young children.
Soft drinks are: the GetYourGuide ticket includes water, tea and lemonade with dinner. Alcohol, including Mai Tais and coconut rum, and premium soft drinks are sold separately at the cash bar. Budget for a round or two if the adults in your group want cocktails.
Yes. All ages are welcome, children 2 and under go free with a paying adult, and the show is colorful and fast-moving, with a fire-knife finale that holds kids' attention. The buffet has plenty of simple options such as chicken, fried rice and macaroni salad. For more family ideas, see our Orlando with kids hub.
For most families and mixed-age groups, yes: dinner, a live band and a genuinely exciting fire finale in about two hours, indoors. Reviews praise the show more consistently than the food, which is hearty buffet fare. If you want an adults-only or more theatrical night, compare the options on our best Orlando dinner shows page.
