Epic Universe tickets: a 1-day Epic ticket or a 3-day-plus Park-to-Park ticket, with Epic Express sold separately by Universal

You get into Epic Universe with a Universal ticket bought from Universal. There are two main routes: an Epic Universe 1-day ticket, from about $139 at the official site depending on the date, or a 3-, 4- or 5-day Universal ticket that includes Epic alongside Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. On 1- and 2-day tickets, Epic is a separate day and you cannot park-hop into it.

One thing to know before you look at the booking box below: the Express pass sold on this site does not cover Epic Universe. It is for Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, for the days you spend in those parks. Epic has its own Express, sold by Universal.

What Epic Universe is

Epic Universe opened on May 22, 2025, as Universal Orlando’s fourth park and its third theme park. It has five worlds:

  • Celestial Park, home to the Stardust Racers coaster.
  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.
  • SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, with Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and Mine-Cart Madness.
  • How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.
  • Dark Universe, with Monsters Unchained and Curse of the Werewolf.

Universal counts more than 50 experiences across the park. It is gated and sits apart from Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Free shuttle buses link it with the main Universal parking garages, CityWalk and every Universal hotel. There is no water taxi to Epic. Helios Grand has its own park entrance, and Stella Nova is a 5 to 10 minute walk from it.

Which Universal tickets include Epic Universe

  • Epic Universe 1-day ticket: Epic only, for one day. From about $139, rising to around $199 on busy dates.
  • 1-day Park-to-Park: does not include Epic. It covers Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure only.
  • 2-day tickets: Universal describes them as one day at the original parks plus one separate Epic day. No hopping into Epic. Read the ticket details carefully, because some sellers describe 2-day tickets differently.
  • 3-, 4- and 5-day base tickets: one theme park per day, and Epic can be one of those days.
  • 3-, 4- and 5-day Park-to-Park: hop between all three theme parks every day, Epic included.

For most visitors, a 3-day ticket is the natural fit: one day at each park. A 3-day base ticket starts from about $118 a day, and a 3-day Park-to-Park that includes Epic starts from about $138 a day. Our Universal ticket options guide compares every version.

Epic Universe Express: how it differs

Express at Epic Universe is not the same as at the other two parks, and it trips up a lot of visitors.

  • Universal sells a standard Epic Express, one Express ride per participating ride, as a 1-day Epic-only pass or a multi-day pass.
  • There is no Express Unlimited at Epic Universe.
  • The free Express Unlimited that comes with the Premier hotels (Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay and Loews Royal Pacific) does not work at Epic.
  • The 2-park Express passes, including the 2-Park Universal Express Pass on this site, cover Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure only. They do not cover Epic Universe.

A 1-day Epic Express costs roughly $200–$330 per person depending on the date, as of mid-2026, on top of admission. Universal’s app has also sold single Express rides at one Epic attraction on the day, for around $20–$25 when available. That can be a cheaper way to skip one long line.

As of July 2026, Express was accepted at Stardust Racers, Constellation Carousel, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, Yoshi’s Adventure, Mine-Cart Madness, Monsters Unchained, Curse of the Werewolf, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, Le Cirque Arcanus, Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, Fyre Drill and The Untrainable Dragon. Dragon Racer’s Rally did not take Express. Ride lists change, so check Universal’s list for your date.

Is Epic Express worth it?

Epic Express makes sense if you have only one day in the park, are visiting on a busy date, or want to ride Mario Kart, Battle at the Ministry and Monsters Unchained without spending most of the day in line. For a family of four it adds a large amount to the day’s cost, so weigh it against adding a second Epic day on a multi-day Park-to-Park ticket.

Skip it if you have two Epic days or Park-to-Park across several days, which lets you come back in the evening when lines drop. The same goes if you are happy to rope-drop the biggest ride and use single Express rides for one or two others.

Where the Express pass on this site does help is the rest of your trip. If you are doing Epic plus one busy day at the original parks, the 2-Park Express for that second day is often where you save the most time. Our Universal Orlando tickets page compares it with the VIP Experience and Halloween Horror Nights.

How long to spend at Epic Universe

Plan on one full day. A relaxed pace, or a group that wants every ride and show, needs about 1.5 to 2 days. The park is big, and some rides have long standby lines on busy days, so arrive before opening and head for the ride you care about most.

If you only have three days for Universal in total, give Epic one of them, and use a Park-to-Park ticket so you can go back for a second evening. With two days, a 2-day ticket gives you one day at Epic and one at the original parks. That is tight, but it works if you add Express on the original-parks day.

Height limits at Epic Universe

Check heights before you promise a ride to a child. From Universal’s official Epic Universe safety guide:

  • Stardust Racers: 48 in
  • Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment: 48 in
  • Dragon Racer’s Rally: 48 in
  • Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry: 40 in, with riders 40–48 in needing a supervising companion
  • Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge: 40 in
  • Mine-Cart Madness: 40 in
  • Hiccup’s Wing Gliders: 40 in
  • Curse of the Werewolf: 40 in
  • Yoshi’s Adventure: 34 in

Child Swap lets one adult wait with a child while the rest of the group rides, then swap without queuing again. See our Orlando with teenagers and family hub for age-by-age planning.

Getting to Epic Universe

Universal hotel guests get free shuttle buses, every 10 minutes from Stella Nova, Terra Luna and Helios Grand and every 15 minutes from the others. Day visitors can park at Epic’s own garage or at the main Universal garages and take the free shuttle, which runs from two hours before opening.

Without a car, LYNX bus 311 links the SunRail station at Sand Lake Road with Epic in about 30 minutes, but SunRail runs on weekdays only. Our Orlando without a car guide has the full picture.

Frequently asked questions

How much is an Epic Universe ticket?

An Epic Universe 1-day ticket starts from about $139 at Universal’s official site and runs to around $199 on busy dates, before tax. Multi-day Universal tickets that include Epic cost less per day: a 3-day Park-to-Park ticket starts from about $138 a day. Florida residents can sometimes find resident-only offers that need proof of residency.

Can you park-hop to Epic Universe?

Only on 3-, 4- and 5-day Park-to-Park tickets. On 1- and 2-day tickets, Epic Universe is its own separate day, and a 1-day Park-to-Park ticket covers Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure only. If hopping into Epic in the evening matters to you, buy at least a 3-day Park-to-Park.

Does the Universal Express Pass work at Epic Universe?

Not the 2-park passes. They cover Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure only, and that includes the Express pass on this site. Universal sells a separate Epic Express, one ride per participating attraction, with no Unlimited version. The free Express Unlimited at Premier hotels does not include Epic either.

Can I buy Epic Universe tickets on GetYourGuide?

No. Epic Universe admission is sold by Universal, on its website or app. GetYourGuide sells Universal add-ons for the other parks, such as Express passes, the VIP Experience and Halloween Horror Nights. See our Universal tickets page for those.

Is one day enough for Epic Universe?

One full day covers the park for most visitors if you arrive before opening and plan around the biggest rides. Families who want every ride and show, or who move slowly with young children, should plan about 1.5 to 2 days, which a multi-day Park-to-Park ticket makes easy.
