The Short Answer

For most visitors a dated 1-day SeaWorld Orlando ticket is enough: one full day covers the big coasters, the animal areas and Sesame Street Land. Add a multi-park option only if you will use a second day at Aquatica or make the trip to Busch Gardens in Tampa. If you want one calm, all-inclusive day with snorkeling and animals instead of rides, look at Discovery Cove first. Budget for parking on top, because it is not in a standard ticket.

The Full Breakdown

Which SeaWorld Ticket Fits Your Trip?

SeaWorld Orlando 1-day ticket

The SeaWorld Orlando park admission ticket is the one most people need. It is dated, so you pick your day when you book, and it covers the park’s rides, shows and animal areas. Read our breakdown of the SeaWorld ticket for the full list of options on the listing.

SeaWorld is a stronger ride park than its name suggests. Mako is a 200 ft hyper coaster that reaches 73 mph, and Pipeline, Kraken, Manta and Ice Breaker give thrill-seekers a full morning. All of those except Ice Breaker (48 in) need riders to be 54 in tall. Families with younger kids get Penguin Trek (42 in), Infinity Falls and Journey to Atlantis (both 42 in), and Sesame Street Land, where several play areas have no height minimum at all. Every ride with its height, the three animal presentations and a one-day plan are in our SeaWorld Orlando rides and shows guide.

The same listing lets you upgrade in three ways: extra days at Aquatica, Busch Gardens or Adventure Island, used within 14 consecutive days; the All-Day Dining Deal at participating restaurants; and shuttle transport between parks. Parking is only included with the Unlimited Visits option. The park is cashless, and outside food and coolers are not allowed.

On cancellation, the GetYourGuide listing currently shows free cancellation up to 24 hours before your date, but the ticket cannot be refunded once it has been scanned. Check the terms on the option you choose before you pay.

SeaWorld’s own ticket bundles and add-ons

SeaWorld prices each date separately and runs online promotions often. In October 2026 its ticket page showed these starting prices per guest aged 3 and up:

Ticket on seaworld.comFrom (October 2026)Regular price shown
Single-Day ticket$59.99$151.99
Ticket + All-Day Dining$99.99$211.98
Ultimate Ticket Bundle (ticket, All-Day Dining, Quick Queue Unlimited)$169.99$311.97

The promotional single-day price is not sold at the park entrance, so buy online before you go, and expect a busy date to cost more than the “from” figure. Tax and parking are extra on all three.

All-Day Dining lets each adult take one entrée, one side or dessert and one soft drink or iced tea once every 90 minutes at eight quick-service restaurants; children 3 to 9 get a kids’ meal. Sharing is not allowed, except with children 2 and under. Bought on its own it cost $64.99 per adult in October 2026, against about $40 when added to a single-day ticket, so take it with the ticket or not at all. The SeaWorld Orlando ticket on GetYourGuide also offers the All-Day Dining Deal as an option. It pays off if you arrive at opening and eat lunch, a snack and dinner in the park; arriving after lunch and leaving at 5 p.m., you will not use it enough.

Quick Queue gives you a shorter line at the big rides such as Mako, Manta, Kraken, Ice Breaker and Pipeline. The Unlimited version in the Ultimate Ticket Bundle does not cover Penguin Trek or Expedition Odyssey, two of the rides with the longest lines. Buy it for weekends, spring break, summer, Thanksgiving and Christmas to New Year; on a quiet weekday the lines are often short enough without it.

Reserved Seating for the orca, dolphin and sea lion presentations started at $19.99 per guest in October 2026. You do not need it to watch a show, only to skip arriving early for a seat.

What a standard ticket covers

Admission includes all the shows, exhibits, aquariums and rides except the paddle boats and the SkyTower. Food, parking, Quick Queue, animal tours and close-up encounters, and merchandise cost extra. SeaWorld also sells close-up animal experiences such as Dine with Orcas on its own site; book one only if that animal is the main reason for your visit, because a standard day already includes plenty of animal viewing.

Adding Aquatica

Aquatica Orlando is SeaWorld’s water park, across the street on International Drive. It needs its own ticket unless you choose a multi-park option. Its signature slide, Reef Plunge, runs through an underwater dolphin habitat, and there is a lazy river, wave pools and splash areas for small children.

GetYourGuide no longer lists a standalone Aquatica ticket, so the way to book it here is the 2-Park option on the SeaWorld Orlando ticket, which adds Aquatica days within 14 consecutive days of your first visit. If you want Aquatica on its own, buy it from SeaWorld’s website.

On select summer nights Aquatica also runs AquaGlow, a separately ticketed evening event with neon-lit slides, DJs and a laser show. It is no longer sold on GetYourGuide, so check dates and tickets on Aquatica’s own website.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

If your group lives for roller coasters, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is the bigger thrill park of the family. Iron Gwazi, SheiKra, Montu and Cheetah Hunt are the headliners, and the park doubles as a large zoo with a safari-style Serengeti area. See our Busch Gardens breakdown for its options.

The trade-off is the trip. Busch Gardens says the park is about an hour from Orlando on I-4, though traffic can stretch that. It runs a free Orlando shuttle for ticket holders from four pickup points, booked in advance through Mears, with a $10 no-show fee. This listing is non-refundable, unlike the SeaWorld ticket, so only book it once your Tampa day is fixed. It is also covered on our day trips from Orlando page.

When Discovery Cove makes more sense

Discovery Cove sits next to SeaWorld and is a different kind of day: a limited-attendance resort with snorkeling in The Grand Reef, a free-flight aviary, a lazy river and an optional dolphin swim, with meals, drinks, gear and parking included. It costs more than a SeaWorld ticket, but its “+2 Parks” and “+3 Parks” packages add 14 days of SeaWorld and Aquatica (and Busch Gardens on the +3 version).

If you already want both a Discovery Cove day and a SeaWorld day, a package can replace a separate SeaWorld ticket. Compare the packages on our Discovery Cove tickets page.

The two work well on one trip: SeaWorld as the coaster day, Discovery Cove as the rest day. Our is Discovery Cove worth it guide works through the cost.

SeaWorld compared with Aquatica, Universal and Disney

Aquatica is the pick for slides, wave pools and swimming on a hot day. SeaWorld is better for coasters, animals, shows, Sesame Street and groups with mixed ages. If you want both, a multi-park option costs less than two single tickets.

Universal Orlando has the stronger themed lands and film-based rides, and it wins easily for Harry Potter or Nintendo fans. SeaWorld usually costs less for a day, packs a lot of good coasters into one park, adds the marine animals and is easier to cover in a single day. For a teenager who only wants the most good coasters, SeaWorld deserves a look; compare the Universal Orlando tickets first if the films matter.

Disney World sells themed lands, storytelling and characters across a whole resort. For many families SeaWorld works best as one extra day on a Disney-heavy trip, not as a replacement, especially with teens who want thrill coasters or small children who love Sesame Street.

Which one should you choose?

  • First visit, one free day, mixed ages: the SeaWorld 1-day ticket.
  • Hot-weather trip with kids who love water: SeaWorld plus Aquatica days on a multi-park option.
  • Teens and coaster fans with a car: add Busch Gardens, and read our Orlando with teenagers guide for more ideas.
  • Toddlers and preschoolers: SeaWorld works well thanks to Sesame Street Land, but compare it with LEGOLAND and Peppa Pig and our Orlando with toddlers guide.
  • A calm, all-inclusive splurge: Discovery Cove, ideally with a parks package.

Practical information

SeaWorld Orlando is at 7007 Sea World Drive, just off International Drive and close to I-4. The official site lists single-day tickets from about $59.99 (as of 2026) for ages 3 and up, with prices varying by date and excluding tax and parking. Children 2 and under get in free.

Parking is the cost people forget. As of September 2026 the official rates are $37 general, $47 preferred and $62 VIP per car, and parking is not included in a standard ticket. If you have no car, our Orlando without a car guide covers the alternatives.

Most visitors find one full day enough to see the park; two days suit animal lovers or anyone adding extra tours. Start with the big coasters at opening, when lines are shortest and the heat is lowest. On select nights the park ends with the IGNITE fireworks and drone show at closing, so check the calendar if you want to stay late.

From June to September, afternoon thunderstorms are the norm, and rides close when lightning is near. SeaWorld and Aquatica run a “Weather-or-Not Assurance”: if rides close for more than 60 minutes because of lightning, wind, heat or rain, or the heat index reaches 110°F, you can claim a return ticket within a week. Bring a poncho, sunscreen and a refillable bottle. If the whole day looks stormy, our indoor things to do in Orlando guide has backups.

The park is cashless, but cash-to-card kiosks inside turn cash into a prepaid Visa card at no charge. Outside food, drinks and coolers are not allowed, apart from a bottle of water or a refillable bottle; guests with special dietary needs, including baby food and formula, can ask for an exception at Park Security or Guest Relations on arrival.

Choosing your date: seasons and events

Both the price and what is on vary by month. January and February usually bring comfortable weather and lighter crowds outside holiday weekends, which suits a coaster day. March and April are pleasant but busy during spring break. May is warm, often without full summer humidity. June to August is hot and stormy, with longer hours. September is hot but quieter once schools go back. October has the Halloween events and busier weekends, and November and December bring the Christmas season; avoid Thanksgiving week and Christmas to New Year if crowds bother you.

SeaWorld’s 2026 calendar lists Halloween Spooktacular on select dates from August 29 to November 1 and Christmas Celebration on select dates from November 6, 2026 to January 4, 2027. Howl-O-Scream, on select nights from September 11 to October 31, 2026, needs its own ticket and is not covered by day admission. Check whether an evening event is included before you plan to stay after dark.

Alternatives to SeaWorld

If SeaWorld is not quite right, see how it compares with Universal, Disney and LEGOLAND on our Orlando theme parks hub. Families planning a whole week should start with Orlando with kids. For alligators and old Florida at a lower price, try Gatorland.

"We enjoyed all the shows and not sure what could be improved!!"

Ray United Kingdom

"It advertised itself as a general admissions pass when in reality it is a fast lane pass so, I still needed to drop another 300 dollars at the park. Don't get me wrong I did love that they were fast lane but it caught me by surprise."
