The Short Answer

GetYourGuide’s Universal Orlando admission ticket is not valid for residents of the US, UK or Canada, so most visitors buy their park ticket from Universal itself, from about $124–$139 per day at the official site depending on park and date. What you can book here are the extras that sit on top of that ticket: Universal Express passes for Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, the guided VIP Experience, and Halloween Horror Nights on fall evenings. If you have not chosen your admission yet, start with our ticket options guide.

The Full Breakdown

Which Universal Add-On Fits Your Trip?

Universal tickets come in two layers. The first is admission, which gets you through the gate, and Universal sells it direct. The second is everything that changes how the day goes once you are inside: Express, a guided VIP day or an evening event. The second layer is what this page compares.

Admission: buy it from Universal

Universal Orlando has three theme parks (Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Epic Universe) plus the Volcano Bay water park. One-day tickets start from about $124–$139 at the official site depending on park and date, and tax is extra. Multi-day tickets cost less per day, with 3-day tickets from about $118 a day for 2026.

The choice that matters most is one park per day or Park-to-Park. The Hogwarts Express between the two Harry Potter areas needs Park-to-Park. On 1- and 2-day tickets, Epic Universe is its own separate day with no hopping in, while 3-, 4- and 5-day Park-to-Park tickets let you hop to Epic as well. Our Universal ticket options guide walks through each version, and the Epic Universe tickets guide covers the newest park.

Universal Express passes

Express gives you a separate, shorter line at participating rides. It does not include admission. The 2-Park Universal Express Pass covers Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure on one date, and you choose between two versions when you book:

  • Express: one Express ride per participating attraction. Good for a single day when you want to clear the headliners.
  • Express Unlimited: repeat Express rides as often as you like. Better if your group re-rides favorites.

If your admission is a one-park ticket, a single-park pass fits better: Universal Studios Florida Express (listed as Express Unlimited) or Islands of Adventure Express. The Islands of Adventure pass covers Jurassic World VelociCoaster, but not Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure: Universal took Hagrid’s out of the Express program on July 1, 2026, even if an older listing still names it. Check each listing’s ride list for the attractions you care about.

Three limits catch people out. These passes do not cover Epic Universe, which sells its own Express through Universal. They are valid only on the date printed on the ticket. And all three are non-refundable, so book once your park dates are fixed. Our Express Pass breakdown has the full ride list.

Skip Express if you are staying at Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay or Loews Royal Pacific. Those Premier hotels include Express Unlimited at the two original parks.

The VIP Experience

The Universal 2-Park 1-Day VIP Experience is a 7-hour guided tour of Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. It includes priority access at select rides, breakfast and lunch, a Universal Express Pass, behind-the-scenes access when available, and valet parking for one car.

It does not include admission: every guest needs a Park-to-Park ticket as well. The listing also says it is not valid for residents of the UK, US or Canada, so most English-speaking visitors cannot use this version. Parties of more than six are split into separate groups, and it is non-refundable. Read our VIP Experience breakdown before you book.

Halloween Horror Nights

The Halloween Horror Nights ticket is a separate evening event at Universal Studios Florida. The 2026 event, its 35th year, runs on 49 select nights from August 28 to November 1 with 10 haunted houses, scare zones and some rides. The listing gives hours of about 6:30 PM to 2 AM, subject to change.

It is not a daytime ticket, and it is not recommended for children under 13. Costume masks are not allowed, and free parking after 6 PM does not apply on event nights. It suits adults and older teens who have a free evening, and it offers free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead.

Which one should you choose?

  • Short trip, busy dates, want every headliner: 2-Park Express with Park-to-Park admission.
  • One park per day: the single-park Express for that day’s park.
  • Re-riders and coaster fans: Express Unlimited.
  • First visit, non-US/UK/Canada resident, happy to pay for a guide: the VIP Experience.
  • Adults visiting from late August to early November: add Horror Nights for an evening.
  • Staying at a Premier hotel: skip Express at the two original parks.
  • Visiting Epic Universe: none of these cover it; see the Epic Universe guide.

Practical information

Universal Studios Florida and CityWalk are at 6000 Universal Blvd, off I-4, roughly 15 to 25 minutes from the Disney area outside rush hour. Epic Universe sits apart from the other two parks, with free shuttles from Universal hotels and the main parking garages.

Summer afternoons bring lightning, and outdoor coasters pause until it clears, so an Express pass on a stormy day buys back time lost in the morning. Arrive at opening, do the outdoor headliners first and save indoor rides for after lunch. Many big rides have height limits, such as 48 in for Hagrid’s and 51 in for VelociCoaster, and Child Swap lets adults take turns; our guide to ride height limits and the best rides lists the rest. For teens, see Orlando with teenagers.

Alternatives

If Universal is your only big park, compare it with the rest on our theme parks hub. For a one-day coaster park you can book outright, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens have admission tickets on this site. For evenings without a haunted house, see things to do in Orlando at night.

"Happy with the skip the line but would be better to get park ticket with the fast pass"

Anjani Trinidad and Tobago

"On busy days, it’s the best and only way to enjoy the parks if you come from far"

Vincent France

"A great opportunity to visit attractions where the wait can be long, even at the end of August."

Emmanuelle Guadeloupe

"Epic was a great experience. More than enough for one day. Next time, I wouldn't choose a 2 Park Pass. Despite the Express Pass, the waiting times are always still about 20 minutes. Therefore, including lunch and various shops, you can only just get through this one park."

Manfred Austria

"Too expensive, and you can't visit the park without it"

Laurent Luxembourg

"Everything was perfect. We'll use this app again."

Rosa Spain

"Essential if you want to visit two parks in one day, but it’s very expensive."

Sandrine France

"The passes are almost essential if you want to visit both parks. We were able to do everything in one day. The waiting time was significantly reduced. It's well worth it!"
