Kissimmee: Everglades Airboat Adventure Tour

About This Experience
Marsh Landing Adventures runs this airboat tour from its dock at 2830 Neptune Road in Kissimmee. You choose a 1-hour or 1.5-hour ride into the Shingle Creek wetlands, a mix of swamp marsh and wet prairie that feels a long way from the theme parks. Parking is free at the dock, and the company provides life jackets in every size plus ear protection for the engine noise.
Once you are moving, the boat skims across open water and through lily-covered channels, then slows so your captain can point out alligators, wading birds and birds of prey. Along the way the captain talks about the Native Americans who lived here and the early settlers who cut trails through these swamps. The boats are set up so every passenger has an unobstructed view, and you can take photos the whole time.
The price covers the ride, the captain, parking and the safety gear. Sunscreen is not provided, tips for the captain are extra, and there is no hotel pickup, so you drive yourself to the dock and back. The tour starts and ends in the same place. Dress casually for the weather, and wear sunblock in summer because much of the ride is in direct sun.
This is a good pick if you want a longer airboat ride without an attached animal park, or if you are staying in Kissimmee and want something close by. The 1.5-hour option gives you more time on the water than either Wild Florida ride. If you would rather combine a shorter ride with a zoo-style park and gator show, the Wild Florida ticket is the better match.

I forgot my sun screen and our guide kindly let me use their supply. They even gave us a cold water during the trip. This was my first experience like this and being from the city I’m not well experienced on exactly what to bring even though I should’ve known better in this case. When traveling most businesses know this and use it as an opportunity to squeeze money out of you. Not only was the trip pleasant and the guides were friendly and informative, but they also made you feel welcomed the way a friend would. I believe some kindness and hospitality without asking for anything in return goes a long way nowadays because it’s so rare.

Absolutely excellent was a bit worried at first because there was an accident on the road which created tail back traffic but the company waited for us as we were 5 minutes late arriving, so service cannot be faulted. The guide Taylor was excellent very knowledgeable and we saw the gators and also baby one's. The environment was superb and the boat was really good never been on an air boat before. Would recommend this to anyone next best thing as opposed to travelling to the Everglades which is quite a distance from Orlando. Great value for money.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where does the airboat tour start?
Both options start and finish at 2830 Neptune Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34744, where Marsh Landing Adventures has its dock. Parking there is included. There is no hotel pickup, so you drive or take a rideshare to the dock. Allow a little extra time for traffic on the roads out of the tourist areas.
Should I book the 1-hour or the 1.5-hour ride?
The extra half hour means more time in the wetlands and more chances to spot alligators and birds, with the same captain, boat and gear. The 1-hour ride is enough if you are fitting it around a park day or travelling with young children. Pick the 1.5-hour ride if wildlife watching is the main reason you are going.
Is this tour in the Everglades?
It runs through the Shingle Creek wetlands near Kissimmee in Central Florida, which the operator markets as an Everglades experience. Everglades National Park is in South Florida, several hours away. You still get open swamp, marsh and wet prairie with alligators and birds, without the long drive.
Is it suitable for children?
The listing gives no age restrictions, and life jackets come in all sizes, including for small children. Ear protection is provided because the engines are loud, which matters for younger passengers. Bring sun protection for everyone, since the operator does not supply sunscreen and much of the ride is in full sun.
Can I cancel my booking?
The booking page lists free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance, while the operator's own notes say tickets are non-refundable once booked. Because the two conflict, read the cancellation terms shown at checkout before paying, and keep a copy of your confirmation in case you need to cancel.
