Orlando: Everglades Airboat Ride and Wildlife Park Ticket

About This Experience
This ticket from Wild Florida Airboat Tours combines an airboat ride with entry to the company's wildlife park, all on its own property south-east of Kissimmee. You choose a 30-minute or a 1-hour ride through 4,200 acres of protected swamp, marsh and river that the operator calls the Central Florida Everglades. It is not Everglades National Park, which is several hours further south, but you get the same kind of flat, open wetland with alligators, turtles and wading birds.
The boats are US Coast Guard approved and run by licensed captains, who slow down to point out wildlife and look for alligators along the reed beds. Airboats are loud, so expect engine noise between stops. Back on land, your ticket covers the wildlife park, where you walk past zebras, deer, tortoises, alligators and birds, and a live alligator demonstration where handlers work with a large gator in a pool while you watch from shaded seating.
Some things cost extra. The on-site barbecue, the gift shop and photos holding a live alligator are all paid separately, and tips for your captain are not included. You drive yourself to Wild Florida. There is no hotel pickup on this listing, and the site is rural, so rideshare cars can be slow to arrive for the trip back.
This suits you if you want a first airboat ride plus a few hours with animals, and the combination works well for families. If you only have time for one short activity, the 30-minute ride is enough to get a feel for it. If you want more time spotting wildlife on the water, pick the hour-long option. Dress for the weather, since the boats are open to sun and wind.

A great afternoon out and fantastic value for money

Mike was great!!!! He made sure we saw all the rare birds and took us to the spot where an alligator just had babies. Saw a bunch of babies and some 2-3 year olds. The ones in the open water were shy and ducked right away. The boat ride was the most fun I’ve had in a long time! We will definitely be back.

We had such a great time at wild Florida! Our tour guide was amazing, so knowledgeable and we got to see quite a few gators in the wild along with other birds and wildlife, it was beautiful! Then we went back and got see Crusher be fed and learn all about gators from their trainers, Coby (it might have been Cory I quite remember!) was really good at explaining why these gators were in captivity and how they trained then for certain things, there was also a great variety of other animals to visit and see - excellent value for money and a really great day out! Thank you

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I book the 30-minute or the 1-hour airboat ride?
Both options include the same wildlife park entry and alligator demonstration; only the time on the water changes. The 30-minute ride gives you a good feel for airboating and a chance of seeing gators. The hour-long ride covers more of the 4,200-acre property, which gives you more time to find wildlife, and some riders say half an hour felt short.
Is this the real Everglades?
Not the national park. Wild Florida's airboats run through protected swamp, marsh and river in Central Florida that the operator calls the Central Florida Everglades. Everglades National Park is in South Florida, several hours' drive from Orlando. The habitat here is similar open wetland, and alligators and wading birds live in it, without the long day trip.
Is the wildlife park included, or do I pay again at the gate?
The wildlife park is included with this ticket, along with the live alligator demonstration. You can walk the animal exhibits before or after your ride. What costs extra is food at the barbecue, the gift shop, and photos where you hold a live alligator, so bring a card if you plan on any of those.
How do I get to Wild Florida from Orlando?
You make your own way there, since this listing does not include hotel transfers. Wild Florida is a drive south-east of Kissimmee on the operator's private property. A car is the easiest option. If you use a rideshare, be aware that the area is rural and cars can take a while to reach you for the return trip.
Can I cancel if the weather looks bad?
This ticket has free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund. After that the booking is locked in, so check the forecast the day before. The operator's only weather note is to dress for the conditions, since the airboats are open and you are exposed to sun, wind and spray.
