Orlando: WonderWorks All-Access Entry Ticket

About This Experience

WonderWorks is the upside-down building on International Drive, made to look as if it landed on its roof on top of a brick warehouse. You enter through a tunnel that turns you "right side up", and inside are more than 100 hands-on science exhibits spread across several floors. This All-Access ticket is valid for the whole day, and the listing suggests allowing at least three to four hours to see everything.

The exhibits are about doing rather than reading. You can stand in 74 mph hurricane-force winds, feel a 5.3 earthquake simulation, pull a giant bubble up around your body, lie on a bed of nails, spin 360 degrees in a gyro and try to land a space shuttle. Some rides, such as the Wonder Coaster and Astronaut Training, have height and weight limits, so check them before you promise anything to younger children.

The basement holds the three extras this ticket includes: a 4D motion theater, a glow-in-the-dark ropes course and laser tag in a 10,000-square-foot arena. The ropes course needs closed shoes and long pants. If you choose the All-Access Plus option, you also get an $8 arcade game card and a case book. The magic dinner show held in the same building is not part of this ticket.

Parking is at the Pointe Orlando garage and costs extra, at $5 for the first hour and $2 for each hour after, capped at $10 a day. Bring a passport or ID card, and leave luggage and large bags behind, as they are not allowed. You can cancel up to 24 hours ahead for a full refund, which helps if you are holding it as a backup for a stormy afternoon.

This works best for families with school-age children, teens and adults who enjoy interactive exhibits, and it is a solid indoor option when rain or heat rules out a park. Toddlers can enjoy the sensory exhibits but will miss the height-restricted rides. If you want a traditional science museum with in-depth displays, or you are mainly after thrill rides, you may find it light.

It was great my 9 year old daughter loved it! It’s stuff to do for all ages.

We were thoroughly impressed with our visit to WonderWorks. It was a relaxing evening well spent, and the whole family truly enjoyed the variety of exhibits. The interactive games kept everyone engaged, but the absolute standout was the high ropes course—it was a great challenge and a lot of fun. If you're looking for a mix of entertainment and "edutainment," this is the place to be! It's amazing...the concept of an upside down house...

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should I plan for WonderWorks?

The listing suggests at least three to four hours to explore the whole attraction, including laser tag, the 4D theater and the ropes course. Your ticket is valid for the entire day, so you can take a break and come back. Weekends and rainy afternoons tend to be busier, which can add waiting time at the popular exhibits.

Are there height limits for children?

Yes, several exhibits have them. The earthquake needs 36 inches, the 4D theater 40 inches, and the ropes course 42 inches with an adult or 48 inches alone. The Wonder Coaster needs 48 inches alone or 42 inches with an adult, and Astronaut Training needs 54 inches. Most of the hands-on exhibits have no height limit.

Is laser tag included in this ticket?

Yes. The All-Access ticket includes laser tag in a 10,000-square-foot arena, plus the 4D motion theater and the glow-in-the-dark ropes course, all in the basement level. The All-Access Plus option adds an $8 arcade game card and a case book. The dinner show that runs in the same building is not included.

Where do I park, and what does it cost?

Parking is at the Pointe Orlando parking garage and is not included. The listing gives the rates as $5 for the first hour and $2 for each additional hour, up to $10 for the day. Since a full visit takes three to four hours, expect to pay close to the daily cap.

What should I wear for the ropes course?

Closed shoes and long pants are required on the ropes course, so dress for it if anyone in your group plans to climb. Riders must be at least 42 inches with an adult or 48 inches to go alone, no taller than 80 inches, and under 300 pounds. Luggage and large bags are not allowed in the attraction.
